Stay Arrangements/Accommodation :       
The availability of cottages in Harihar Ashram is very limited and minimal. As you may be aware, there is a shortage of accommodation in the Ashram. Hence arrangements have been made on a limited basis with nearby hotels, lodges, dharamshalas etc. However, this facility is available on payment. There is no arrangement for free accommodation of any person, visitor, guest or even for the workers and executives of Prabhu Premi Sangh. Further, the accommodation shall be arranged for a maximum period of 15 days which will be available only on the basis of request made in advance and prior approval of authorized persons of Prabhu Premi Sangh regarding reservation of such accommodation. It would not be possible to consider any request for reservation of accommodation without prior intimation and approval of Prabhu Premi Sangh. In the case of applicants for whom accommodation has been reserved, it would be necessary for them to seek and obtain reconfirmation of Prabhu Premi Sangh at least 48 hours before the commencement of their journey. Reservations made via the branches of Prabhu Premi Sangh will be accorded priority.
Please Note: 1.) Dormitory accommodation in the Harihar Ashram shall be available only to a limited number of pre-selected volunteers (Karya Karta) of Prabhu Premi Sangh.

Security Arrangements and Important Information
As per administrative instructions, from the security point of view, it is mandatory for every guest to come with an authorized Identity Card issued by the Administration such as Voters I.D. /Ration Card/ Driving License/ Passport or any other Identity Card issued by Govt. Authority. Guests/ Visitors who have made their own stay arrangements are also required to bring any of above mentioned Identity Cards. Based on the Identity card, a master card will be prepared in the office of Prabhu Premi Sangh for use by the visitor concerned.
If there is a branch of Prabhu Premi Sangh in your city, then please apprise them about the dates of your arrival and departure or you may furnish such information through a letter, telephone, or email. On the basis of the information furnished by you, the office of the Ashram will issue a Reference No. which will facilitate in making necessary arrangements for your stay and providing other facilities. You are requested to invariably quote this reference number in your communications with Prabhu Premi Sangh which will be very useful in providing necessary facilities with promptness.
It is especially requested that keeping in view the security reasons, please ensure that the master Identity Card issued by the office of Prabhu Premi Sangh is invariably carried by you at all times.

Transport Facility:
You can reach Haridwar by Rail, Bus, Air and private vehicles.
By Bus: There is bus facility from Delhi (I.S.B.T) to Haridwar every 30 minutes.
Rail: To acquire information of train services to Haridwar, you can contact Rail Enquiry (Phone: 131)
Air: There are flights available from Delhi to Jolly Grant Airport (Dehradun). Jolly Grant Airport is approx. 35 kms from Haridwar and taxi service is available to Haridwar.

Available Flights from Delhi:

  • Departure 11:35, Arrival 12:30. Kingfisher Airlines, Daily
  • Departure 15:20, Arrival 16;20, Kingfisher Airlines, Daily
  • Departure 12:30, Arrival 13:20, Air Deccan (Three times a week) Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
As per the orders of authorities of local Administration, entry of private vehicles in the Mela area is prohibited, but for the convenience of visitors, local city buses and other means of transportation will be available.
There is no provision for parking of vehicles in or around Harihar Ashram Kumbh Mela Shivir. Hence it would not be possible to make any arrangements for parking of your vehicles. The local administration has banned the movement of vehicles during the Maha Kumbh Mela. Therefore, you are required to park your vehicles outside the periphery of Mela area. In view of the restrictions imposed due to heavy turn-out of pilgrims during the Maha Kumbh period, it would be possible for you to secure proper movement and desired transport facility 2-3 days after or prior to the Maha Kumbh Mela 2010.

Attention:

  • In the Ashram premises, smoking, tobacco, alcohol and other addictive substances are completely prohibited.
  • In the Ashram cottages, the use of candles, dhoop, and incense is prohibited.
  • You are requested to follow the fixed and scheduled timings for breakfast, meals and other programmes.
  • In the Kumbh camp, silence, japa (chanting), meditation, and solitude are suggested.
  • Avoid mixing with unknown persons and strangers.
  • Please maintain the dignity, purity and cleanliness of the Ashram. Please discard all rubbish, garbage only in the dustbin.
  • The Ashram premises is a polythene free premises, please do not bring anything in polythene bags.
  • The significance of bath during Kumbh is similar at all ghats. Kindly do not go to the crowded ghats for bath.

Note:    Kindly do not bring very old persons, those handicapped and invalids, patients, small children and pregnant women.

Personal meeting or interview with His Holiness will not be possible without seeking prior permission.
